What is Spectrum

The event

Spectrum

Spectrum is the flagship photography event organized by the Photography Club of St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy. The event begins with an island-wide online photography competition, where participants submit their photographs through a Google Form under various categories. The selected and winning photographs are then showcased at a photography exhibition held at the college premises during the main event.

The Photography Day features an exhibition, an interactive session conducted by two renowned professional photographers serving as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, and a certificate award ceremony recognizing the competition winners. Souvenirs are also presented to the distinguished guests, the Principal, the MIC, and past presidents of the Photography Club. Through this event, Spectrum aims to celebrate creativity, encourage young photographers across Sri Lanka, and promote the art of photography within the school community.
